Pensacola, Florida is a city positioned in Escambia County, Florida, United States. Pensacola is nicknamed "The City of Five Flags" owed to the five flags that contain flown more than it at a variety of times in its past namely the flags of Spain, France, Great Britain, the Confederate States of America, and the United States. Pensacola is a sea harbor on Pensacola Bay, which connects to the Gulf of Mexico. A large United States Navy airbase, the original in the United States, is situated southwest of Pensacola and is home to the Blue Angels flight expression team and the nationwide Museum of Naval Aviation.
